Allied Arts and Professional storyteller Jeanette Waddell are hosting TELLABRATION! TM, on Sunday, November 26, 2:30 at Allen’s Market, 101 Floyd Griffin, Jr. Dr, (formerly Mcintosh St) in downtown Milledgeville. Local storytellers will regal the audience with a slice of their life and Mrs. Judy Greer will share a Veteran’s Day tribute to her late husband, Major General Thomas Upton Greer, “Tug”. Randy Newton, local musician, and businessman brings his humor and insight to the stage.
TELLABRATION! TM was the brainchild of J.G. “PawPaw” Pinkerton. He brought together tellers and listeners and the first TELLABRATION!TM was born. The experience captured the imagination of story lovers and spread throughout the United States and around the world. TELLABRATION!TM shows no sign of slowing down.
The first TELLABRATION in Milledgeville started with storytellers Harriett Davis and Jeanette Waddell. They imagined bringing together listeners and storytellers. After years of dreaming, they took the leap, planning their first event during TELLABRATION!TM weekend . November 19, 2016, was the first storytelling at Allen’s Market with the collaboration of Allied Arts, Inc. and WRGC, 88.3 FM, Georgia College’s public radio station.
