About the event
Allied Arts, Inc. and professional storyteller Jeanette Waddell return with their popular, “Stories at the Market”, Sunday, September 24, 2:30 at Allen’s Market in downtown Milledgeville, 101 E. Floyd Griffin, Jr. Blvd, (formerly McIntosh St.).
Community storytellers will share their personal stories of change. Harriet Tubman reminds us, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Changing the world seems a tall order, however, changing the world begins with changing ourselves, and that is something we all can do.
Join local citizens as they share the steps they used or witnessed to change themselves and change the world around them. Darien Alexander hit a rough spot early on in life, determined to follow a different path, he’s working towards a master’s degree and shares his story to inspire others.
Priscilla Randall and her late husband saw their son going down a dangerous path. All their advice and effort seemed to fall on deaf ears. Their story has it’s ups and downs and then a turn around.
Erica Rion moved from Ohio to Milledgeville to be closer to family. The move to a new town was a challenge. Despite changing health, she has adjusted and made peace with her new home.
Yvonne Howard enjoys change and challenges. When most folks are retiring, she moved to Georgia to begin a new chapter in her life. She’s writing a book to inspire others to become serious about their relationship with God.
We all have stories of change that will inspire others. If you’re interested in being one of the community storytellers for November, please call Jeanette Waddell 706-998-0599.
