Plein Air Art Event at Lockerly Arboretum - $15 - $25

Allied Arts is excited to announce that we have partnered with Lockerly Arboretum to bring you an all new Plein Air Art Event! Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of your studio behind and experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape! Visual artists are welcome to attend. Grab your art supplies and a folding chair and come on out to Lockerly for a day of open air art. Pick a spot and let the beauty of Lockerly inspire your creativity! Mediums (canvases, sketchpad pages, etc.) will be stamped upon entry and judged that afternoon. Sierra White, curator for the Macon Arts Alliance, will be judging for the event. We will be awarding a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Awards as well as a People's Choice Award. Cash prize are as follows: 1st Place - $100, 2nd Place - $50, 3rd Place - $25. Completed works from the day will also be exhibited at The Marlor House following the event!

The price to attend is $25. $15 for students. Students must present Student ID upon entry. We are limited to 35 spots, so be sure to sign up today! You must be at Lockerly and signed in by 10:30 AM on the day of the event. You will need to provide your own art supplies for this event (paint, canvases, pencils, etc.). You will also have to provide your own easel to display your artwork. Feel free to bring your own lunch. Snacks will be provided!
