About the event
Do you ever dream of becoming an artist but keep putting it off until you have ‘more time’? It’s easily done.
In this course, local artist extraordinaire Christina Mansfield will teach you the foundations of working with acrylic paint and how they are the simplest and most effective way for an absolute beginner to learn how to paint successfully. You’ll observe beginner and advanced acrylic painting techniques. Students will produce an impressionist painting of a landscape during their 3 hours of instruction.

*About the Instructor*
Christina Mansfield is an Contemporary Abstract Artist with a Bachelors, Associate and Masters Degree in Psychology and studies in Art and Film and is enrolled in North Central for her Doctorate degree. She is a member on the board of directors of Keep Baldwin Beautiful and works for The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health. She has been teaching art for 20 years for the Army Families at Fort Stewart , and communities in Florida, Atlanta and North Carolina.
Her work experience includes working with children and adults with Autism and Down Syndrome and is a former ABA Therapy Provider. She enjoys helping people reach their personal goals with arts and also enjoys working with the community. Her influence has been Jim Carrey and Claudia Dietschi.
