Evenings with History
Step into the past with Evenings with History, a free lecture series presented by the Old Capitol Heritage Museum at The Depot featuring engaging talks on local and Georgia history. Each program welcomes a different speaker to share unique stories, research, and perspectives that bring the past to life.
For the September program, join Drew Rice as he explores the historical artifacts found in Rogers House and Rose Cottage in Madison, Georgia, and what these objects can reveal about the people, culture, and time periods they represent. Drew will also discuss the differences between interpreting and giving tours of historic homes belonging to wealthy families and those representing the lives of more typical households.
