Now in its 21st year, Evenings with History is a beloved lecture series that brings Milledgeville and Middle Georgia’s past to life. Each month, local historians and community experts share fascinating stories about the people, events, and cultural moments that shaped our region.
This February, Joseph Sumner will explore the 1540 meeting between the Muscogee/Creek Peoples and Spanish soldiers and priests during the Hernando de Soto Expedition. The series is held at Allen’s Market every third Tuesday, offering a free, engaging opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect with the rich history of our community.
