ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITION

ELIGIBILITY:
This exhibition is open to all adult artists (age 18 and over) who practice a visual art form, either full-time or part-time and who live in central Georgia. The six eligible categories are Drawing, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.
All works must be original; no copies or kits are allowed. Entries entered into any previous Oconee Artist Exhibition will NOT be allowed.
JUROR:
Final selection of works to be exhibited in the show and the judging of all award-winning entries shall be the responsibility of the juror.
AWARDS:
Best-In-Show awards prize of $150, a Second Place prize of $100, and a Third Place prize of $75.
The top entries in each category can be awarded a Certificate of Merit if the juror feels it is warranted.
Formal award presentations will be made at a reception given in honor of the artists on Friday evening, May 6 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m.

The official blanks for entry and labels for identification are
provided on this form.
All entry blanks MUST be postmarked
by Thursday, April 21, 2011.

Entry fees must accompany entry forms to complete the
artist’s eligibility. A non-refundable entry fee of fifteen dollars
($15.00) entitles the artist to submit a maximum of three
works. Checks should be made payable to "Allied Arts"
Please note that this is a juried exhibition and submission does not necessarily guarantee acceptance into the
exhibition.
SPONSORS:
The Oconee Artists Exhibition XXVIII is sponsored by
Milledgeville-Baldwin CountyAlliedArts. The Milledgeville
Civic Woman’s Club and Century Bank and Trust have
provided generous support for the 28th annual Oconee Artist
Exhibition.
SUBMISSION SPECIFICATIONS:
1. All two and three-dimensional works must be able to pass
through a 36 x 72 inch door opening.
2. Only works suitably framed or mounted (that is,
ready to hang on the wall, or to display on a table or
sculpture pedestal) will be accepted. Mats alone are
not acceptable.
3. Artists who wish to market their works during this exhibit
should indicate a price on the entry form and the identification
label, as well as an insurance value.
4. All entries should have the identification label
completed and attached to the entry when it is
brought in. It is very important that the information
on the label be correct and match the information
on the entry form; this information will be used
to compile the exhibition program.
DELIVERY OF WORK:
Entries will be received at the John Marlor Arts Center at 201North Wayne Street in Milledgeville – ONLY betweenMonday, April 25 - Thursday, April 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..
LIABILITY:
The sponsors will handle the entries with all possible care;
however, they will not be responsible for loss or damage to
works while at the John Marlor Center or in transit. Submission
of entry in the Oconee Artist Exhibition shall indicate an
agreement on the part of the artist to all the conditions stated in
this official prospectus.
RETURN OF WORK:
Artists will be notified by phone concerning work not chosen
for the show; these artworks should be picked up. Works in the
show or works purchased during the show will be available for
pick-up June 6 - 9. Absolutely no works in the show
will be released before June 6. All works must be
picked up by June 9 at 4:30 p.m.
